About Heart Attacks

image002Bayer is making crystal aspirin to dissolve under the tongue. They work much faster than the tablets.

Why keep aspirin by your bedside?
About Heart Attacks

There are other symptoms of an heart attack besides the pain on the left arm.
One must also be aware of an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating, however these symptoms may also occur less frequently. Note: There may be NO pain in the chest during a heart attack. The majority of people (about 60%) who had a heart attack during their sleep, did not wake up. However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep.

If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins

in your mouth and swallow them with a bit of water.
Afterwards:

- phone 911
- say “heart attack!”
- say that you have taken 2 aspirins..

- phone a neighbor or a family member who lives very close by

- take a seat on a chair or sofa near the front door, and wait for their arrival and…
~ do NOT lie down ~

Twin eclipses on Jan 2010

lunar eclipseThe world will witness two eclipses (a solar and a lunar) within a span of 15 days in the month of January, 2010.

Convening a meeting in connection with taking precautionary measures to watch the eclipses, District Collector Rajendra Ratnoo on Wednesday said that two eclipses taking place in the span of 15 days was an incredible and a rare natural phenomenon.

It had occurred on November 11, 1902 and would reappear only on December 26, 2019, he pointed out.

The Collector said that the eclipse occurring on January 15, 2010 would be an annular eclipse. It takes place when the sun and the moon are exactly in line.

However, the apparent size of the moon seems smaller than the sun.

Therefore, the sun appears as a very bright ring or ‘annulus’, surrounding the outline of the moon.

The annular eclipse would be seen in most parts of India, Sri Lanka, Africa and south-east Asian countries.

In Kerala and Tamil Nadu, it would appear when the moon covers the sun partially. Chennai would witness an 88.5 per cent eclipse, the collector added.

In Kanyakumari, the annular eclipse would occur between 11.04 am and 3.05 pm, but the eclipse would get over by 1.14 pm. Lunar eclipse would take place between 12.21 pm and 1.24 pm.

The Collector requested the public to not see the eclipse with bare eyes as it could damage the retina of the eyes. Kanyakumari division of the Tamil Nadu Science Forum has promised to arrange special filter glasses to watch the eclipse at Kanyakumari.
